Suffolk County, Long Island—-A man died after shooting a woman and himself in a vehicle outside a Centereach residence. The incident happened on Tuesday night. Police consider this an attempted murder-suicide.
The man shot the woman in the head. Then he did the same to himself. He shot himself in the head. This information was released by the Suffolk County Police on Wednesday. The man was taken to the Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The woman was in critical condition.
The man and woman of 48 years old, are both from Coram. Police said they were found inside a Kia Soul. The vehicle was parked on the driveway of a North Washington Avenue house. The woman was found behind the wheel. The 48-year-old man was in the passenger seat.
The identity of two is not revealed yet. Police said the house where the vehicle was parked has no connection with the two.
According to police officers, the gun was also recovered in the vehicle. The investigation of the case is underway.
